Animated films inspire children with their colourful images, exciting stories and funny characters. But how is an animated film actually made? Nursery and primary school children (accompanied by a parent) learn this in our animated film workshop.
For young up-and-coming directors.
Inventing stories, telling them and turning them into your own animated film using child-friendly methods - this is possible in the animated film workshop. We show the children how creative films can be made in a variety of ways using a tablet. They get to know the stop-motion technique and the layering trick , develop their own film ideas and can then stage them using various materials.
On the middle level, the atmosphere is quieter so that children can concentrate on each individual exhibit. Small and large wooden marble runs by French artist Pierre Andrès have been designed with great imagination and attention to detail, for example as an elephant or an obstacle course, and invite children to play. Several experiments on topics such as light and shadow amaze the children, pose riddles and are simply fun. The children use colourful glow sticks to create colourful patterns and glowing images or use an overhead projector to examine the shadows of wooden and Perspex shapes.
