Look forward to a colourful Easter holiday programme with a show, a workshop and the traditional chick hatching - to amaze and learn.
Look forward to the new show - it's all about light and colours. In the show, you will see all the colours in white light. Discover how to mix colours and how black is created. Some of you may still know it: the good old overhead projector. This is supposed to help with puzzles and has once again taken on a leading role in our colourful show before it disappears from classrooms and science centres perhaps forever. The show also takes a close look at various mobile phones. Will you discover the secret of how your mobile phone can display colours or how a printer prints out bright colours? Be there, be amazed and discover many a colour secret.

An Easter egg, a chick or a bunny - why not make your own Easter gift in our wood workshop? Rediscover an old craft with us. Using child-friendly machines, children, young people and adults can turn wooden Easter figures and experience an important basic requirement of woodturning: Namely, how a three-dimensional body is created from an idea on paper! For children from the age of 9 accompanied by an adult; from the age of 13 unaccompanied.

Our Easter programme runs during the Easter holidays (Lower Saxony) from 16.03.-01.04.2024, the chick hatch from 23.3.-01.04.2024. We are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm!
It's chirping again at phaeno. Chick hatching has become a tradition at phaeno. It is particularly exciting to watch the eggshell being broken. It is pecked open from the inside with the so-called egg tooth. A real feat of strength as the chicks make their way into life. Species-appropriate accommodation is provided for the little chicks. With the support of the Fallersleben Poultry Breeding Association and the surrounding area, children and adults can experience the miracle of life. Biology live.
Get to know different chicken breeds that you've probably never heard of before. The Poultry Breeding Association of Fallersleben and the surrounding area has set itself the task of preserving many species that would otherwise no longer exist. The members of the association look after the chick hatch and make sure that your little ones have everything they need. The club emphasises the joy of handling the animals . Each chick is returned to the breeder and reared there.
